Whether it’s for your education, buying a home or retirement. Here's what to consider when establishing your investment goals. Set your objectives. What are you looking to do for your account? Is it growth, income? Liquidity? Consider your time horizon. Are you thinking long term or short term? For instance, retirement might be 30 years out, but that home purchase is a goal for the next five.
